AMORPHIS - DISCOGRAFIA
HISTÓRIA:
Banda Filandesa formada em 1990, por Jan Rechberger, Tomi Koivusaari e Esa Holopainen, no inicio a banda era tida como Death Metal, tendo um som mais obscuro e pesado, após recrutarem o baixista Ollipekka Laine, lançaram em 1991 a demo "Disment Of Soul" lhes rendendo um contrato e um EP, após esses lançamentos, viria o primeiro album "The Karelian Isthmus" em 1992.
Em 1993 eles lançam o EP "Privilege of Evil" e em 1994 o segundo album, Tales from the Thousand Lakes, album que viria recheado de classicos do Death Metal, tais como "The Castaway", "Magic & Mayhem" e a mais conhecida de todas "Black Winter Day".
seguindo essa trajetoria vireram "Elegy", "Tuonela", "Am Universum" e "Far from the Sun";
Em 2006 a banda convoca Tomi Joutsen para os vocais, o que mudaria para sempre a trajetoria da banda, assim como seu estilo, de Death Metal para Progressive Metal, com uma pitada de Doom, e raizes no Death Metal, já que eles mantem os vocais "Gutural", lançando assim o amorphis para o mundo.
Seguindo com "Silent Waters", a banda segue o estrelato, com singles de facil assimilação, video clipes de alta qualidade, e cada vez mais entrando no gosto do globo, entrando assim para os top's das revistas especializadas. Em 2009 lançam Skyforger, mais um classico sem prescedentes, mantendo a banda no topo e trazendo ela para o Brasil para um show junto com o "Children of Bodom".
Agora com o Globo totalmente conquistado com seu som unico e estremamente melodico, lançam "Magi & Mayhem" uma releitura de "tales From the Thousand Lakes", o que fez os fãs mais ardorosos torcerem o nariz, isso fez com que a banda fizesse uma pequena tour pela Finlandia, e preparasse o seu novo album, "The Beginning of Times", que foi lançado em 2011.
