HISTORIA:

Volbeat é uma banda dinamarquesa formada em Copenhague em 2001. O seu estilo musical é uma mistura de rock 'n' roll e heavy metal. O Volbeat foi inspirado por bandas como Metallica, Social Distortion e até por Elvis Presley e Johnny Cash. A banda é composta pelo vocalista Michael Poulsen, pelo guitarrista Thomas Bredahl, baixista Anders Kjøholm e baterista Jon Larsen. A banda lançou quatro álbuns de estúdio e um DVD. Os três primeiros álbuns da banda The Strength / The Sound / The Songs (2005), Rock the Rebel / Metal the Devil (2007) e Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood (2008) conquistaram o ouro na Dinamarca. O segundo álbum Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil (2007) foi platina. Em 2010 foi lançado o quarto álbum da banda, "Beyond Hell / Above Heaven", e foi um sucesso por toda a Europa e nos EUA e Canadá. De acordo com o vocalista Michael Poulsen os Volbeat venderam álbuns de ouro na Dinamarca e na Finlândia. O nome da banda foi tirado do álbum Vol. Beat da antiga banda de Michael Poulsen, Dominus. "Vol" significa volume e "Beat" significa batida
